Motion Graphic Design is similar to video editing in many ways, relying on music, timing, messaging, etc, but there is a key difference: the possibilities are truly endless. It’s an “if-you-can-imagine-it, you-can-create-it” type of thing. A blank canvas. I’m all about that.

It can certainly be daunting, though. Sure, there’s always the pre-determined visuals, like brand colors, logos, fonts—the obvious stuff, but in my experience, starting with the ethos of the brand is the more effective path. The first step is discovering the right tone and mood, followed by the intended message and target audience. Once I know these things, I can start crafting. And that’s the fun part.
